Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV personality in the United States and a teacher at Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive spikey blonde locks and pump up appearance, offers simple techniques that any person can master. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She also has explored Italy's cuisine and the culture of Italy, and the surrounding geography. Early on, while living in the the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went following her graduation with an English degree and a Communications diploma from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The student says "I loved being a Culinary Institute of American student. I enjoyed every moment." I was never able to learn or do enough. After graduation, Burrell spent one year in Italy studying in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working at Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. In Italy she gained an appreciation and appreciation for Italian culinary traditions. It made a huge impact on how she views food. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to increase the quality of life for children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity ambassador, and is a vocal advocate for awareness of children's diabetes. As a guest speaker and teacher she travels across the U.S. to share her culinary passion and profession.
